August Burns Red
August Burns Red will be playing at the House of Blues on Thursday, February 2nd. This Christian metalcore band from Pennsylvania had their breakout moment with their hit album Messengers, which reached 81 on the Billboard Top 200. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the band’s breakout album and they will be performing all of the hits from it. Whether you’re a long-time fan or have never heard of them, you do not want to miss out on this epic rock show.
If jazz is what you’re into then look no further than the House of Blues on Friday, February 3rd. Local jazz legends Brass-a-Holics will be bringing their jazzy sound with a funky fury. Brass-a-Holics live show takes the New Orleans brass band culture and cleverly combines it with the electricity of Washington D.C.’s go-go scene. The resulting sound is both enthralling and unique.
On Monday, February 13th, go see emo crooner Dashboard Confessional take over the House of Blues. Dashboard Confessional is fronted by singer/songwriter Chris Carrabba. Carrabba’s charismatic stage presence and the deep thoughts behind his lyrics make him one of the best lead singers around. If you like rock and roll then you definitely want to jump in your Toyota and catch this amazing show.
Matt Pryor and Dan Adriano
On Thursday, February 23rd the House of Blues will be hosting Matt Pryor and Dan Adriano. Pryor is the front man for the indie rock band The Get Up Kids and Adriano is the front man for Alkaline Trio. These rockers have been performing their hits for years now and they have perfected their indie rock sound. Old fans and new fans alike will enjoy hearing these guys play all of their hits plus some new material that you’re sure to love.
