The Major Differences in the Toyota Corolla L, LE, LE Eco, and S

Toyota Corolla Kenner

Start to configure your Toyota Corolla, and you will notice that there are four main trim levels. For the 2016 model year, you can also get the Special Edition, but this has limited availability. Most Kenner drivers are more interested in the trim levels that are always available, the L, LE, LE Eco, and S.

2016 Toyota Corolla L

The Corolla lineup starts with the L trim, which is the most affordable. Despite its budget-friendly pricing, you get all the features you truly need such a USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, power windows, eight airbags, and the Star Safety System. This trim also gives you some features you don’t necessarily need, but will still appreciate, such as LED daytime running lights and headlights, a 6.1-inch touchscreen for Entune audio, Siri Eyes Free, and 6-way adjustment for the driver.

Toyota Corolla LE

The Corolla LE actually has two sub-trims, the LE Plus and LE Premium. The regular LE adds heated mirrors, keyless entry, automatic climate control, a rearview camera, and cruise control. The LE Plus throws in fog lights and a range of options. The LE Premium adds a sunroof, keyless entry plus ignition, navigation, the Entune App Suite, 8-way power seat for the driver, heated seats in front, and SofTex upholstery.

Toyota Corolla LE Eco

Choosing the LE Eco trim builds on the LE. It gives you transmission and engine tuning to boost efficiency, low-rolling resistance tires, boosted aerodynamics, and a rear spoiler. Like the LE, the Corolla LE Eco is divided into the LE Eco Plus and LE Eco Premium, which add the same feature they did on the LE trim.

Toyota Corolla S

The Corolla S stands out with its sport-theme, including signal repeaters on color-keyed mirrors, a chrome exhaust tip, a rear spoiler, leather on the steering wheel, paddle shifters, and a Sport Mode. The Corolla S Plus gives you a firmer suspension and rear disc brakes. This trim with a 6-speed manual adds the Driver Convenience package, as well. The S Premium trim adds the features of the LE Premium to the S Plus.
