Which Toyota Tacoma Trim Is Right for You?

Toyota Tacoma KennerThe Toyota Tacoma is a powerful and capable midsize truck that is small enough to use for daily driving but rugged enough to be a work truck. In addition to the Access and Double cabs, two wheelbases, and two engines, the Tacoma also offers five trims. To figure out which trim is right for you, think about the features you need and how you plan on using your pickup.

Toyota Tacoma SR

If you don’t need a great deal of features, the Toyota Tacoma SR will be ideal. It has everything you truly need, like full power accessories, a sliding rear window, a bedliner, a cargo bed rail system, air conditioning, a GoPro windshield mount, air conditioning, and a rearview camera. You even get Bluetooth, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel featuring audio controls, Siri Eyes Free, voice controls, six speakers, a CD player, an auxiliary audio jack, a USB port, and a 6.1-inch touchscreen.

The available SR Convenience Package adds remote keyless entry and cruise control, and it lets you upgrade the wheels. There is also an available Utility Package.

Toyota Tacoma SR5

The Tacoma SR5 builds on the SR with the SR Convenience Package. It adds variable intermittent wipers, chrome accents, fog lights, and rear privacy glass to the exterior. Inside, you get leather on the steering wheel, connected navigation, and satellite radio. This trim lets you add an SR5 Appearance Package or its expanded version that also adds technology and upgrades the Entune system. This upgraded system has a 7-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, and HD radio.

Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport

The Tacoma TRD Sport gives you 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and sport-tuned shock absorbers, plus a 120-volt outlet in the bed. You also get wireless phone charging, keyless entry plus ignition, leather on the shifter, unique upholstery, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You also get the upgrades to the Entune system that are optional on the SR5. Options include the Premium and Technology Package and an upgraded audio system.

Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road

The TRD Off-Road trim shares special upholstery with the TRD Sport but has its own body trim and 16-inch wheels. It also gets Bilstein shock absorbers, an electronic locking rear differential, and Crawl Control. You can add the same features as the TRD Sport.

Toyota Tacoma Limited

If you want the most luxurious Toyota Tacoma, go with the Limited trim with its unique trim, leather upholstery, and 18-inch wheels. It also comes with everything in the Premium and Technology Package for the TRD models, which includes a sunroof, automatic headlights, heated front seats, blind spot monitor, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, dual-zone climate control, and a JBL audio system.
